On Day 28 (June 16, 2009) we went to the Cincinnati Reds game at Great American Ballpark, as the 14th game of our All the Ballparks 2009 Road Trip. This was the longest game of the trip due to their being two rain delays in the 3rd inning with the first one being two hours long and the second being 30 minutes long. At least the home team Reds did win 7 to 2 in the end and we did not end up with a rain out or rain suspension of the game.

To the left is my brother and dad outside the ballpark before going to the Reds Hall of Fame and then the Reds game. Below is another view of the outside of the ballpark.

We walked around the ballpark a little before going in. The white rose in this rose garden represents where Pete Rose's career hit that broke Ty Cobb's leading career hit record when this area was part of Riverfront Stadium.

I do not exactly remember, but I believe this balls have the years the Reds won the World Series. They are hanging in the main Team Shop and this photo is of them being viewed from the Reds Hall of Fame.

My brother posing for his food scrapbook photos for Great American Ballpark. He had a Skyline Chili Dog and a Pretzilla. Also, a photo of my ice cream helmet. Read his Food Scrapbook food review for this ballpark on the trip blog here.

Below are photos of our view of the ballpark and the game from our seats below the scoreboard.

Below are photos of us hanging out under the stands during the two hour rain delay in the 3rd inning. Also photos of the field during and right after the rain delay.

Below is the Smokestacks not going off and one of them smoking after the Reds' pitcher striking out an opponent.

Below is the smokestack fireworks going off to celebrate the Reds Win as well as the scoreboards announcing the win.

Below are the mini bat my brother got for his collection and my baseball I got for my collection at Great American Ballpark.

Read more about the Game 14 of our road trip in my post on my trip blog here. You can also follow the trip in more real time directly on the blog here, as I am several weeks behind on getting the photo on to gather, but pretty much up-to-date on the blog. Today is the last day of the trip and I will then try to catch up on the photo essays, but still most of the in depth information on our various adventures is on the blog and if you are at all into baseball and ballparks I think you will enjoy taking a look at my All the Ballparks Road Trip 2009 blog.
