On Day 28 (June 16, 2009) before going to the Cincinnati Reds game we visited the Blue Ash Sports Complex in Blue Ash, Ohio, to see the replicas of former Reds ballparks. Just my dad and I went along with my grandpa's wife. We let my brother stay with my grandpa at his house while we did this little side trip. He is reluctantly on the trip and enjoyed the one chance to sit something out and just stay put, as he would have preferred to just spend the whole summer playing video games and watching shows in his room at home.
Below are some photos of the replica of Crosley Field, where the Cincinnati Reds once played. The replica includes a replica scoreboard with the line ups from what I believe is the final game and the original dimensions of the park.

Below are photos of the back of one of the bleacher sections of the Crosley Field replica. This wall has plaques that are mostly signatures of past Reds players that have played in Old Timers games here. Some of the greats include Pete Rose, Tug McGraw, and Ken Griffey.

Below are some photos of an original ticket booth brought over from Crosley Field to this replica park. Inside it there is the original 366 marker from the Crosley Field outfield wall.

Below are some photos of the Riverfront Stadium replica field. It is not as nice as the Crosley Field one and just replicates the dimensions of that park, which the Reds used after Crosley and before their current Great American Ballpark.

Read more about the Blue Ash Sports Complex in my post on my trip blog here. You can also follow the trip in more real time directly on the blog here, as I am several weeks behind on getting the photo on to gather, but pretty much up-to-date on the blog.

How cool is that?! Oh and BTW - glad to have Griffey back in our park :)
Um, the Griffey referred to here is the senior one. Junior has never played in the old timers game here since he is still a current MLB player.
How neat to see all of this. I don't know much about baseball, although I think it would be exciting to be in the stadium watching.
