It's almost BABY TIME! YIPPPEE!!

Well, tomorrow I will officially be 27 weeks pregnant. That means that I have only 13 weeks left until my due date, or realistically about 11 1/2 weeks until this baby will most likely be born.

I had another checkup today and the doctor said everything looks great. The baby's heartbeat is perfect, and he's measuring about 1-2 weeks bigger than he should be. My weight is perfect and on track, and thankfully I haven't gained much weight at all. He said he will be keeping an eye on the baby's growth, especially as we get closer to my due date, since my 4 year old was 9 pounds and 8 days early, and this one is measuring big. The doctor said if we get to 38 weeks and he's too big, he'll probably induce me because the bigger the baby, the bigger the risk of c-section.

It's getting really exciting now. The baby is super active and kicks and rolls around all day long. I find that he's very food driven, since he kicks the most right before it's time to eat. I always know if I've gone too long between meals or snacks, because he tends to get super active. It's as if he's saying to me "Mom, come on I'm hungry!" It's become an on-going joke in our house.

My 4 year old son is also getting super excited. He keeps asking me "Mommy, is the baby bigger now? Can he come out?" I keep explaining to him that it's not quite time, but I think he's getting excited.

Lately, we've been preparing the baby's room and cleaning like crazy. I've been making lists of things I still need to buy and making lists of what needs to be cleaned, what needs to be organized, and what needs to be thrown out. I also plan to have my bags packed for the hospital by the end of next week. I have to pack my bag, the baby's diaper bag, as well as a suitcase for my 4 year old who will be staying at Grandma's house while I'm in the hospital. I'm a planner, so I like to get that kind of stuff done ahead of time, so there's no last minute rush. Once the bags are packed, I'll have them in the trunk so that when I go in to labor, everything is right where I need it. I did the same thing when my 4 year old was born and it worked out great!
