2008 has been quite a year. Reviewing it there has been much negative, but nothing that could not be overcome. I believe that God does not give us that which we can not handle. With that said, I do pray for a much less active 2009.
Luis went to the ER room and we found out he was diabetic. He quickly changed his habits and got it under control. He had days in the beginning there where he was extremely weak and could not even walk from the bedroom to the living room. Within 3 weeks he was off of all medicine and his blood sugar number continues to be regulated without medicine.
I ended up at the ER room. Tooth abscess and no insurance. They gave me antibitiotics and the clinic was able to schedule me a dental appointment at the earliest available appotiment - 6 months later, my appoitment is this week, finally.
I came home from work one day and found my dog outside and the fire department at my apartment. The apartment was unliveable, but my animals were OK. Luckily, the apartment complex had another apartment available for us that night and we have renters insurance. It was costly in the beginning because moving costs $$$ and I had to come up with new deposits and transfer fees for phone, cable, and electric.
My parents came to visit. This was a good thing. The only negative was that my sister and and do not get along and there was much conflict while my parents were visiting.
We were able to visit my parents and took a trip up to PA. Belle, Nala, and Jaxper came along. The cats did not love the car ride but Belle and Jaxper loved visiting their grandparents, Nala hid under the bed unless it was feeding time.
Luis and I started to take a class at church. It has been a great class and have met many wonderful people. Tomorrow is the last class.
Luis was back at the hospital -- this time Shingles. Luckily, it was not a bad case and he was fine within 2 weeks. But again no insurance and the needed generic brand anti-viral medicine cost $205. Had no choice but to get it, had to get a payday loan. But we do what we need to do.
Luis is not working right now and is having a hard time finding employment. My job I worry about because the economy is affecting everyone and business has been slow.
I know that all will work out. I have Faith in my Savior and know that all is as to be.
