Unclaimed money?

Could you possibly have unclaimed money?

I just found a bit of money that my husband had unclaimed and I claimed it for him.
I also put in a claim for money in my maiden name, however, it may not be me since it didn't have an address listed and it didn't say where the money was...I have no idea if it could be someone else with the same name or really me...but we will see.

Here is the link if you would like to search for unclaimed money -http://www.unclaimed.org/mainframe.asp?VisitorType=owner  - some states do not participate yet, and you should serach all other names and states that you've lived in. Sometimes variations on your name also help find unclaimed money.

Thanks for the information. I have heard of this before but unfortunately I didn't find any for myself or my husband. I did however find a bit for one of my sisters. =0)

I did a search for myself and each of my parents. We found two small claims for my mother. It took about 5 months to receive the checques, but every bit found is fun.
