What the heck is wrong with Gather????

I ask this question knowing that as soon as I hit publish, it is going to log me out and erase the message causing me to have to go through and copy/paste it in again. I will then have to click on all the groups again and be completely frustrated.

Not to mention if I go to articles and try to read new ones, they are the same ones that have been there all afternoon. Is anyone having similar or even different problems? It is a little frustrating as it has been going on all day.....I hope they get it fixed or at a minimum communicate with us about what is going on.....

It's been very frustrating this week. Sometimes, I go to vote or leave a comment and I get routed back to the sign in page.

Several are having problems, try cleaning out your cache and reboot. It didn't solve all of my problems but part.

Gather did another upgrade/maintenance session Monday night. That means tons of problems for most people for the next few days. Wouldn't it be nice that when they do this, they knew what they were doing instead of creating half a dozen additional problems while trying to clear up one previous problem. I don't think some of the Gather staff are the brightest bulbs in the package. I wish they'd hire people that knew what they were doing instead of canvasing Mc Donalds for a burger flipper who claims they know what they're doing when it comes to computers and programming.

I haven't had any problem...yet.

I have struggled with the same problems....it is frustrating....Aren't there Gather Guides that might answer this ??

This is a known problem and will disappear soon. In the interim I suggest that you check the "keep me signed in" box the next time you log in. This should reduce the occurrence of the problem for you.

I found it was running very slow and logging me out sometimes. Then of course I have been having with my connection for two days now.

I've been running into this. I use Firefox with lots of tabs full of articles while I'm 'working' Gather, and sometimes if I forget to log in, it's a pain because you have to refresh every page. If you're not logged in, it brings you to the sign-in screen as soon as you try to rate or put your cursor in the comment box. Well, lately even refreshing the page after logging in won't work for some articles and I have to try again and again just to get a comment in.

Lots of growing pains, indeed.

I have had trouble ever since they did the upgrade. Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I have been having a heck of a time posting comments.
