Mean Mom sells Son's Car.

Many of us on gather are parents and can relate to being called a mean mom or mean dad but I had to laugh at this one when I read this article that was sent to me by own mom. 

The mother in this article sells her 19 year olds son's car when she found liquor in the car.

Good for that mother. She is teaching him a life lesson that he will never forget. Now let him get his own car, and maybe he will keep liquor out of it.

Joe, you're right. My mom sold my sister car when she caught her skipping school to go and see her boyfriend. I think thats what makes me laugh so hard about it. If it wasn't for my sister's stupidity I could have had a car at the age of 16 but she screwed that one up for me.

I support that mom 100%. If more parents took a stand like that and actually did what they say they are going to do. Well there would be a lot more kids that believe.

I think she did the right thing.Better a live mad child than one 6 foot under.
I always did what I told my kids I would do and I was told by them I was mean,at least they are alive to think back on it now.

Debra, I agree whole heartedly! Definitely better to have a mad child than one thats 6 feet under. I know there were plenty of times I was mad at my mom but now looking back it was for my best interest.

I agree 100 percent of selling the car. I am glad the mom followed through. The teen may think the mom is a mean mom now. But later in years when this child has their own children pulling the same stunts. The teen will know exactly why the mother did what she did.
