What do you want August to bring you and yours.

My family has this tradition that the start of every month, we call each other and wish one another a happy whatever month it is.  The game is to be first.  We can be quite obnoxious.  My son tells me he's not playing that dumb game every time he loses, but watch out if he wins..

Tell me a hope or dream you have for the new month of August, and happy Augus to you.

My goal is to get my finances in order after my vacation.  It's not a big goal, but it's my August goal.

you have a nice tradition there.....our family doesnt do the month to month goal thing,we just live each day as it comes.....but i do hope my family stays healthy and safe and i also wish all of you do also: )

Successful cataract surgery and then work to figure out the dagnabbed digital camera the my purchased for me. He's a computer gobbledegook so he bought me the most overly accessorized camera they had. I just want to pictures, not win the Photo of the year contest!

well, for August I wish my friend the job she is seeking....cooler weather.....calm kids until school starts (19 days but who's counting)....and nice new neighbors next door.....(had the bad kind in the neighborhood for about 10 years, need good ones this time around) :-D

Good idea! I was born in August so I am just hoping to not get more gray hair. Oh, and my husband was born in August too and I am just hoping that his birthday present will be ready in time. I have paid a man to paint a large painting of the last supper and he hasn't even started on it yet! It has to be ready by August 24th.

My biggest goal is get back on my feet and back to work! I have my brother Kyle and Tom's birthdays, and my dearest friend Missy's Anniversery today, and her birthday the 28th, and her dad's birthday on the 20th, it is a very busy month for me anyway!

August feels like the time of year to make "New Year's Resolutions" and changes in our lives as we get ready to gear up for fall. So I'm thinking about those changes I wanna make. Good post!

Since August is so hot I think I will make it hotter. My goal is to go to the farms around here and get enough fruits and veggies to fill my over 250 jars with yummy home canned goodness. Maybe enough to last the winter. Soups, salsa, jams, tomatoes, green beans, apricots, peaches, pears, apple sauce, mmmmmmmmm.........maybe even enough to give as xmas gifts so i don't have to go shopping for everyone....better get started!

How funny that I just read this! Today, for the first time ever, my 13yo called me on her cell phone while I was outside in the yard. She called me from inside the house with her little sister to sing me happy new months to the birthday song.

What a happy coincidence!

Awesome tradition. My goal is to get my house in order before surgery at the end of the month. I want to: make curtains for the family room, breakfast nook and kitchen; paint and reorganize the family room; get some boxes of clothes to charity before the winter starts; can some peaches for Christmas presents; work on the laundry basket of clothes that need mending; and oh yeah, lose 20 pounds.

Hmm, somebody didn't call me yesterday.

My dream is to earn a decent income working from home while caring for my children. Also, I'd love to win a million dollars!
