Anyone still having problems?

Yesterday, we were all having problems with our points not showing up....but I was wondering if anyone thinks maybe their posting and commenting from yesterday wasn't counted for points at all? Saturday late nite was the last time I saw points show up be4 today since yesterday was unavailable. When I logged on just a few minutes ago, my points were only 50 higher than Saturday nite. I was on Gather most of the day yesterday commenting like crazy....and with the triple points, I should be more like 400 ahead or more since ever since triple points started, I've been gaining 300-500 points or more per day.

 

Anyone else having similar problems with points that don't quite look right?

My points finally did go up this afternoon after being unavailable. But, with the triple points, I would have expected them to be higher than they are now. What showed up for me doesn't seem to be much different than the normal points I would get given the things I posted and the commenting I did yesterday. But, then again, haven't found much logic in the way points are credited, so who knows.

To date, I have no problem. Just came on. Have been off all day to a Memorial Day Family Picnic.

Mine went up almost 200 points when they were again viewable, but they've only gone up like three points today! Hmmm..............!

I think I'm missing points also. When I sign on today, it was saying the same amount as Sat nite. I did do some comenting on articles yesterday. I have only gained four point tonight, since logging on. If the points are triple where are they?

good for you Candace. That's a very generous thing to do! Have you tried maybe emailing gather to suggest that the charity of your choice be added?

I've not had a problem with that.
Yes, now I'm having problems managing one of my groups. The page tell me there are no articles to be managed. I have more than 20 articles posted to this group and gather won't let me access any of them to delete those that do not belong. Aarrgg!

I have the same problem. I was on all day, commented on over 50 articles (stopped counting after that) and got less than I do on a regular day. I am a little disgruntled, but afraid to awaken the "we're not here for points" crazies.

I am not here for the points, but there are things that I could have been doing other than gather yesterday. I enjoyed most of what I read, but when they say that you are going to get triple points, you should get them.

I'm not sure, but now that you mention it, I'm scared because it seems I was on Gather a lot, and don't really have all that many points to show for it.

I agree totally cybergwen. I love chatting here with friends...but when they dangle triple points in your face....you spend more time than usual here trying to get those gift cards or cash

This morning when my points first became available, I only had gone up 90, then the next hour (without my commenting) it went up another 50. On Friday, with the same amt of time online my total went up 200. Today in 8 hrs online, I have gone up 157 points. Who knows? I am not here FOR the points, but it adds a fun dimension to the experience. I certainly won't turn them down!

yeah...I agree that something sounds fishy here. I'm hoping that when I log on tomorrow, all will be right. If not, I'll be emailing gather support for sure.

Yes I have my problems with the points... there are no raising of points, it seems.

The other day was not counted...

I am having the same problem as you. I was at 438 two day ago. Yesterday when I posted like crazy now I am at 442. That doesn't make sense. is there anything we can do about it?

I don't understand how the points are accumulated since it never seems to go up the same amount for the same thing being done.... but do you get more points for having more friends? I need some friends! I only have 7. I also need more members for my group CharityCentral if anyone is interested. Thanks!

I don't think anyone really understands exactly how the points are accumulated. I just know you get points for posting, commenting, rating, and connecting. But I don't think anyone knows how many pts you get for each activity

Well, I've been on here reading, posting, commenting, adding pics, and all that for two hours now and only went up 6 points. I only have 161 points total. I would think I'd have gone up more than 6 points. I really enjoy reading other people's articles and tips, but I just wonder if it's keeping track. Oh well.

I think they're still having problems this weekend. Probably trying to catch up with everyone's posting because of triple points. I know when I finally go to bed and then log on in the morning, I'm usually up quite a bit of points. I think they're just a bit slow crediting them to your account. The past few days with triple points, I've been gaining about 300-500 pts per day easily.
