Survey says.....Do you own a cell phone?

With todays hurry soceity you need one to keep in touch. DIfferent schedules and all. Yet, there are still some people out there who refuse to buy a cell phone. Yes! I have one and so do my two daughters. Heck my mom is 64, and she has one.

Yes I do Lora, the question is, nevertheless, whether I know how to use it. I am really a cell phone loser, and although at 26 I should be in the prime of cell phone age, it just doesn't work for me.

I have a cell phone, all the time I worked and drove 40 miles to work and back i didn't have cell phone, I retired and now I have a cell phone. My wife has one too.

Yes, we do. But I could take it or leave it.

My dad finally gave up home phone service and now has two cell phones. We never thought he would do it.

I have a pre-paid one from Virgin Mobile. It is so expensive when we use it a lot!!! My husband had one from work, but when he lost the job he lost the phone too. We plan on getting one once we get caught up on bills again. I really like having one, it makes life so much better for me. My hubby swears that he doesn't like those things, but when he had it, he was on it from the time he was out of work until he went to bed!

I haven't used a landline since about 2003?? I remember getting a circuit busy signal on September 11 for almost 24 hours after the event. All the cell phones were out because of the location of the communication towers on top of the buildings. I hate the telephone.

We have 1 cellphone but we use the land line for the majority of all calls.
My dh and I both have a cell phone.
My 10 year old son does not although we know people who have kids younger than that who have one.
One brother and his wife has them, the other brother refuses.
My 91 year old dad had one before we did!

Yes I have a cell phone. Because I have dial-up I can have the cell on and still get my calls, at least those that are important.

I also use it for all long distance calls. In calling is awesome.

Yeah I have one, I use it mainly for emergencies thugh or long distance as I don't carry that on my other phone.

Yes I own a cell phone, its my only phone! Its cheaper than having a home phone, it works when the powers out, it can be charged in my car, and its got free long distance!
I can't see paying 40-50 a month for a home phone when I can pay that for a cell phone and dont have to worry about wires falling down and not being able to get a hold of someone in case of an emergency

Mine is my only phone too. It was just easier and cheaper when my BF and I moved in. We have his two daughters and both of us on the same plan even though we live in three seperate areas of the state.

That doesn't mean that we are glued to them though. He and I only have it set to ring if it is a family member. the rest go straight to voicemail.

I have a home phone and we "my family" have cell phones for emergencies long distances almost everything. We onstar phone service too. But we seem to use the home phone most.

Everyone in my family has one. I only use mine in emergencies, like when i am at the grocery and they are out of my hubbies fav bread and I call to ask what his second choice is :)
I sometimes go for days without ever turning it on though, I am on the phone at work 8 hours aday so when i am home I rarely use any phone!

For years after I retired my former profession, I refused, absolutely refused to have another cell phone. I lived and died by that thing almost as much as by the clock. I felt so free for a long time. But then my teenage daughter got one for chrismas and well, that was the end of it. I now have one and I practically sleep with the thing, again. C'est la vie!

Yes, my doctor insisted that each member of our family had one. The cell phone has saved my life.

I have two cell phones. One for work and one for personal use. I rarely make calls, but I love using my own for text messaging, e-mail, and browsing the web.

Yes! My husband and I each have our own cell phones. Sons, daughters-in-law, grandson, granddaughter -- all have cells phone. DH and I got ours immediately after 9/11.

My parents have a prepaid one and so do I. Mostly used for emergencies. I am constantly reprogramming their phone book because my mother insists on deleting phone numbers by accident....worse than a little kid! :)

Hubby has one through his job, I have a prepaid, and we recently got a prepaid one for our 12 year old (and he has major restrictions on using his!)

I was just thinking about the whole cell phone thing...how most people have a cell phone. Well - we have a friend who is an IT Professional. He has three cell phones. One personal, one work and one for when he travels out of the country for work. He has them set up to his bluetooth headset. I've seen him more than a few times talking on that thing and it looks like he is talking to himself. I don't know how he knows which one to answer! lol :0)
i have one and each of my kids have one, but my husband he has one but refuses to carry it with him or try to learn to use it.

My cell phone fell in a glass of Diet Dr. Pepper about three months ago and I haven't replaced it. They have been the most peaceful months of recent history for me.

Yes. I use the unlimited nights and weekends to call out to my family long distance and to let Gideon talk all he wants without worry of the minutes adding up on the bill.
