I made coffee this morning, cleaned the coffee pot, did all the dishes today, Took my wife out for supper and wished her a Happy Mother's Day. Also made the after-supper evening coffee tonight and will clean the coffee maker before we go to bed.
I got a red rose at church, then came home and had brunch at my daughter's. She made yummy french toast souffle; I got the recipe off Gather a few months ago.
They gave me a gift card for the local mall and a blown glass "hanging teardrop" that goes on a little metal hanger. It's purple and beautiful.
Brian, your wife is so lucky! I received a beautiful glass plaque that says, "Mom, I love you" and a vanilla and white peach candle that is burning brightly and smells wonderfully as I type. I love scented candles.
I got two rose bushes (1 from each daughter) to replace the ones they got me years ago that bit the dust this spring after the late freeze. Now I'll look out my kitchen window and think of my two beauties!
I got a small box of Godiva chocolates from my baby daughter. My husband got me a certificate for a massage, a Paul Simon album and book called "Why a Daughter Needs a Mom."
My nephews got me two flats of begonias for my flower bed.
Best of all, my husband and stepdad watched all the kids (and my ailing grandfather) why my grandma, my mom and I had some time to ourselves. We never get that time together and it was wonderful!!!
I got cards w/ gift cards to Barnes & Noble from the kids. I got a new purse and outfit that my husband had me pick out. Most of all I got lots of love today!!

I got nothing for mother's day except my 9 year old told the younger ones that it was Mommy says day. I wrote an article about what a nice quiet day it has been so far. Hubby had to work all day, but overall I think it has become too consumer driven, so I like hugs and kisses and nice thoughts better than gifts.
My oldest son sent fresh flowers and called me on his cell phone. He was in the car on the way to the airport and will be spending the next week in Detroit.
My son in law brought flowers, cheese cake, lemon pie and soda for Sunday dinner. My daughter and daughter in law brought ice cream and my youngest son cooked pot roast with potatoes and carrots and a big pot of corn.
My son brought me 2 roses and some candy, my husband gave me tulips, a watch, a top and a chaise lounge for the patio, my daughter is coming on Tuesday with something, and my parents gave me a watch and a gift certificate. My mom has always gotten me a Mother's Day gift since I became a mom, I think that is really sweet.
My husband gave me a hanging basket of yellow with pink tint begonias, very pretty. My middle son invited me over for dinner, cooked a delicious dinner for my husband and me, our daughter-in-law, and grandkids. He also gave me a tomato plant in a big, green, square, container garden. My middle daughter gave me a gold heart shaped locket with a pink rose and the word "Mom" on the front, and her kids gave me a tulip candle holder. The other kids called and wished me a Happy Mother's Day and told me they love me. Of course, we went to church today too. It was a good day!
I got lots of hugs and kisses and "happy mother's day" wishes, a lovely corsage at church, 2 handmade magnets from my 7 yr old, a handmade card from my 12 yr old, 2 bunches of petunias in my favorite color from my 9 yr old, shoes :), a pair of comfy slippers to replace the very worn out old ones I've been wearing, and I didn't have to cook at all today :) My husband took us to McDonalds where we watched the kids play in the playplace, then everyone "raided the fridge" for dinner this evening, lol :)

Boyfriend K bought me a bouquet of flowers.
