Now this is what you call judging a book by its cover or should I say judging a man by his color!
Since February when President Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States, many black Americans are displeased with the way he’s handling or not handling significant issues and situations. Questions like, why are other countries more of a priority than the U.S? Why didn’t he give a public speech for the late Michael Jackson? And Why don’t he have any black political officials on his team? -Just to name a few. Some feel he has already broken promises like tax cuts by raising prices on gas, cigarettes and liquor.
During this years recent NAACP speech President Obama stated:
“My administrative is working hard to lay a new foundation for growth and prosperity that will put opportunity within reach not just for African Americans, but for all Americans.”
In my opinion when President Obama won the presidential election it was a historical moment for two reasons. One reason is because no black man out of the 43 presidents this country has had was black; Barack Obama made the first black president. The second reason is because for years blacks were told that there would never be a black president. Therefore for most especially those before the 21st century were touched by that historical moment more than others. However President Obama’s father was from Kenya, which makes him a pure African, so of course he’s going to visit Kenya and Africa! It has been clear to me that black people who voted for and glorify President Obama was under the impression that his main objective is assisting the black community. There’s nothing wrong with having a president of your own race, but whomever the president may be he has to be satisfactory to all races.
President Obama earned the position of presidency due to his political education, political expertise and his political career. Obama played his cards well! He played into the hands of the original leaders of this country so that he can make change and equality for all races not just one race. Noone said racism would be over and blacks would feel more free. It is safe to say we can disagree with some of the President’s decisions but that’s why we have a voice!

"It has been clear to me that black people who voted for and glorify President Obama was under the impression that his main objective is assisting the black community."
Anyone who had that impression is a fool. Either they did not listen to his campaigning and or they were overwhelmed with wishful thinking. How can any president take as a main objective to assist one segment of the country. Makes no sense nor would it be legal.
There are some strange creeds out there. I've heard it from both sides, or are there just two sides. I know there's more than two.
Your article was interesting.
The majority of the ones I hear from are "Go, Obama!" That includes me.
Ah, well. That's democracy in action.
