In the final debate Obama and McCain discussed their tax plans. Obama proposed a $60 billion plan in tax cuts for the middle and lower income people more tax breaks to create jobs, new spending for public works projects to create jobs. McCain proposed a $52 billion plan that includes new tax cuts on capital gains, tax breaks for seniors, write offs for stock losses and amongs other things.

Also history has proven that when you increase taxes on business you lose jobs and your tax base.
Obama has voted for every tax increase put forth by his party since he has been in the senate. What makes you think he is going to change? Oh yeah, I forgot, he said he wants change. Too bad he didn't say what kind.
However, I also agree with Jeff S. I am not sure how we can afford to cut any taxes given the "bailout." I don't want to see my son suffering financially (anymore than he has to, anyway) when he grows up because of all of the bad decisions of today.
