We ARE talking about the issues, Linda.You just don't hear anything you don't agree with. John McCain has very transparent double standards. On one hand, he claims that he needs to "suspend" his campaign to go to Washington to save the economy (like he actually made a difference being there), then he now wants to focus campaign issues away from the economy because Barack Obama keeps widening the gap in his lead over McCain since the "crisis". Also, McCain and Palin are making ridiculous statements about Obama's ties to terrorism, ( the scare tactic that only works on the ignorant), complaining about gotcha journalism, and then McCain goes on Entertainment Tonight (real journalists????) saying how he wishes the jokes on SNL and Letterman weren't "so personal". Give me a break! Maybe "Joe six-pack " will fall for this garbage after he downs a few, but the majority of us can see how manipulative the McCain folks are.

Linda, where are your brains please? You read the truth, the facts, and still refuse to believe it? Yet when that moose killer Sarah Palin tries to accuse Obama of ties to terrorists from when he was only 8 years old! A man who is now a college professor and teaches the young, come on. Open your eyes! McCain has not given anybody his spin on the issues but to keep pouring money and lives into a middle eastern country which hasn't changed in centuries and isn't about to redirect their culture to fit in with America. That is their privilage for being a country with borders and religious views of their own. They have their insurgents just as Northern Ireland had it's IRA, in the 70s were particularly bad, I know, i lived there,attacking G.B. and all. Leave them be unless they infringe on our space I say!
Since viet nam America has been pouring resourses into other countries problems to score brownie points with the 'people' and make money off of war-profitering. just to walk away. Well, with Iraq they should walk away. It hasn't been a war since Saddam Hussein was overthrown, the purpose for invading has passed.
How can anybody with more than a 3rd grade intelligence believe McCain and Palin have any thoughts but for power? You don't elect an unstable senior with a bad reputation and a bloody mother in a way-station of the non-contiginous United States with no more experience that we have hosting a social gathering! It is sick that they pander to the likes of you! linda, i bet you have the mentality of a Sarah Palin, she could be the only reason you think this way. The hypnotized never lie! You think she would be fun? Well the powers of the world don't agree.
I am sorry, but your disregard for socially sophisticated people of an Industry that reaches millions all over the world and get involved because they have the resourses and time to try and do some good for their fellow man just infuritaes me.
I am shocked that you would try to connect yourself with the Republican ticket at this time when all the truth is on Obama's side, he truely wants to help, I have not heard one plan from the other side.

John, well the facts of this explosive, deranged man is well apparent. Dangerous, like a radical is one thing, new ideas, the New Deal of FDR, the civil rights bill of LBJ the Bay of pigs for Kennedy. But not trying to live up to a binge drinking father by crashing planes into our own destroyers and getting bailed out of trouble all his life by his family? That is dangerous when you think he has the nuclear codes! He has no platform but pure power and ambition to suceed in the eyes of his famous family who are all but gone now. How can you read the facts and still try to put a good spin on it?

John, that makes no sense. you say we need leaders, yes, but ones who will do good! I am sure Hitler and stalin reckoned their countries needed leaders too, and some stupid people didn't believe they were dangerous either.

Linda W. I guess you didn't bother to read the article then. Because it is about issues and how Mccain has flipped-flopped repeatedly. It also states how Mccain's fellow senators won't support him. I highly suggest you read the article and verify the facts, all of them can be verified. Sadly, some do not really care to see the real Mccain and how he only spouts off about being a maverick.

My daughter also turned 18 in September, Selene, and just registered to vote last week. I know exactly what you mean about feeling that you succeeded as a parent. It amazes me how many people complain about our government, and then they don't VOTE! Two of my daughters went with me to a gubernatorial debate here in Vermont last week and it really helped them make a decision about who they feel is the best candidate.
