With all the talk of banks failing and Chase buying WaMu, I know many people are concerned about their money. I'd like to share a very good thing that Chase is doing VERY PROACTIVELY. They are calling account holders whenever there is anything suspicious on their accounts.
Yesterday, my husband had an operation. He also had 7 prescriptions filled through Aetna. I authorized the payments with my debit card. Chase called because they wanted to know if all of the payments were legitimate. They were. I thanked them so much for taking the time to call me and ask BEFORE they paid them.
I've had my bank account stolen years ago, so I don't ever want to have that happen again. I have many protections on my account, but I have heard from many of my friends that they've had similar calls this past week. Chase is helping to protect our money. With all the turmoil in banking these days, this is good to hear.
So, if your bank is failing and you don't know where to go or what to do, I suggest using Chase. WaMu customers should be happy with their new home.

I hope you're having a good weekend, Cathy!
My credit union does the same, even on my debit card.
Of course they are looking out for themselves and in one case it was a temporary problem, glad I had more than one card.
