Oh I would have finished watching it, but it was making me sick. But yet of course shes a celeb so people are going to listen and follow. Just that like that stupid Barbara Walters with her new book. Ugh Rediculous!
That is DISTURBING. Didn't watch the whole video, but like you said, you don't have to to get the gist of it. Disgusting. I always thought Oprah was a little off kilter and a tad full of herself....but THIS takes the cake. :(
My Christian Grandmother sent me the book "A New Earth" - and Nic and I were completely shocked and repulsed just by reading the first chapter. I can't believe so many people are falling for it and into it . . . it only proves how Satan is the "Great Deceiver". It's awful, saddening, I don't even have the words to express how much it hurts to know a few of the people I love are reading this book and thinking they are finding truth in this book.
All you need is this to get the same results he talks about:
"Be still and know that I am God" - it's all in the scriptures.
Well, it says in the Bible that many people would be deceived in the last days. Oprah is getting into some dangerous territory by leading people into this junk! It's a bunch of New Age crap.
In reading only the comments it strikes me how many have already been deceived by the great deceiver and know it not, having their thinking already bassackwards ...
Hmmm! I give credit to Oprah in that she is making an attempt to improve people's lives but money makes it easy for one to overstep the bounds of moderation. What she is doing here and in her regular programming is certainly better in motive than endless and inane game shows, "talent" contests, and programs of murder and rape. But with no one of intelligence in a position to "get her attention" she can go off on a tangent the way many of us do when we don't "listen" to God. Unfortunately, we can all get "too full of ourselves." Then again, "Judge not that ye be not judged."
Its one of the few things she's said that makes sense. Until the last century, Satan was not a very big deal--a minor figure. And its very horrible to think about a "department of peace"--man that's devlish right there! LOL. I've never understood people who bought into the very devisive dogma of religions--ONLY OUR WAY OR YOUR DAMNED!!! And quoting the bible which also mandates that anyone who eats shellfish should be murdered....and its ok for believers to rape and murder unbelievers....oh, and lets not forget the mysogynist Paul....what is so wrong about people having diverse ways of looking at thier view of spirituality? Oh, I forgot--what's wrong is the intolerance of the christian/muslim faith that its MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY attitude...
Kim, I am not saying I agree or disagree with what she is doing. We all should have the right to our beliefs. But she is idolized by so many, all over the world, I honestly wish she would leave the religion issue for someone else not in the spotlight.
I have never had the "my way or the highway" attitude about any issue..this being no exception. However, there are many that do have this attitude. I opt not to associate with them.

It is more of the Christian right Evangelical message of Division and Exclusion, that what FOX is so good at, and what Oprah, and myself, so condemn. It is Duality (+/-) playing out as it too often does, one "side", righteously and piously, claiming the high road and denouncing and judging others to the low road, the road to Hell ... Good VS Evil ... heavy on the VERSUS !!!
The "outer path" of religious MISunderstanding (already long deceived by the so-called devil), the path of literalist, exoteric, objective, 5 sensory beliefs, based upon "faith" ... VERSUS ... (the "method" of those) ... "Against", that of the REAL SPIRITUAL subjectivity of the esoteric INner connection to God's Spirit via your own Higher Self, your Soul, directly connected to the Holy Spirit of God right INside of yourself (your self [lower case s] being your physical picture of who you are, your "ego" self, the lower self) ... and that which is found withIN then is the higher Self (upper case S) ... that which transcends the ego self when God IS TRULY KNOWN and one is so GRACED, BORN AGAIN, and TRULY SAVED (Baptised by "Fire") !!!
The mostly empty promises of false religious understandings, that claim all of those just mentioned designators, for those who merely proclaim allegiance to Jesus through a water baptism, "authorized" by a "designated" priestly "leader", are just dreaming for the most part, that they are truly connected to the Holy Spirit in the "name" of Christ Jesus ... because those who would truly be so connected, would NEVER EVER exclude other spiritual people who had a loving connection with God ... IMnsHO.
So, the video message will show what Oprah is really all about ... at the same time it shows what the makers of the message against Oprah are REALLY all about ... if you agree with me you may have a particular future ... if you agree with the video maker, you will likely have a different future ... which ever way one decides, it will be of their own making, because as Echkart Tolle (probably) says (I have yet to read the entire particular book in question, but I have read other publications by him), we each make our own realities based upon the way we think and act out those thoughts via our INtentions !
Heaven and Hell are but relative opposites based upon dualistic thinking (+/-) requiring certain choices ... when either choice is exclusive of others and condemning of them, it will result in a more hellish experience no matter what "name" is applied to it ... to each their own !
But there is a "better" way or path, that of the TRUE SPIRIT which is UNconditionally Loving and therefor NEUTRAL in that it is NONjudgemental ... it actually resides right in the very center of all of creation, including especially in the very middle balance point of extreme polarization, the Spiritual presence of God as the equal symbol (=) between polar opposites (+/-) transcending conflicting duality via the Loving Spirit (=) that attempts to bridge the former gap and void (/) making PEACE via TRINITY (+=-) ...
All would do themselves, the world, and the universe a service by attempting to understand and utilize this principle that I call the BET (Basic Equation of Truth) (+=-) which is a UNIversal principle that most of this world has yet to learn and accept ... such a change being most needed for us to ALL find peace with ourselves and each other ... Carol, you don't need to apologize for choosing a God to follow. It isn't judging a person's heart to say you do not believe their philosophy is in accordance with the Creator. In fact, if you have chosen the Godof the Bible, he says you are to lean on His words only. Jesus claimed to beGod come to earth. I chose to believe Him. When I did, something happened I wasn't expecting. A living entity came inside me and I felt Him there. I knew He had removed my guilt and given me a new life. Therefore, I have chosen to give Him my faith and my life. I don't get upset when someone of another belief chooses not to make the God of the Bible his God. That's fine. But I will nothesitate to say that I think he/she is wrong because I know God is living and the Bible is His word. God said we are to bolding speak out the truth. But I do not judge their heart. Only their doctrine.
If it upsets people that I disagree with them then they shouldn't get into discussions about God with others. I noticed that they often fume and tell me how arrogant and judgmental I am. (Isn't it strange that they cannot hear they are also judging themselves) The difference is I don't think they're cruel and judgmental. I just think they are not following the Creator or the universer and that is their right. But I will not weaken on my stance that the Bible is God's word just to make them happy.
I always loved Oprah. I pray for her that the Spirit of God will guide her to receive Christ as her savior ... or if she has already and just gone astray on doctrine, that He will bring her back to the Bible.

Aw praying is NOT going to help you with this or anything else. Look Oprah understands that the way to the Creator has millions of avenues, as many people there are there are ways to reach 'god' or 'goddess' or 'allah' or 'jehovah', or whatever you are calling it this week--but if someone were paying attention, the one we were indoctrinated to believe 'existed', then why are so many things still not 'peaceful' or 'harmonious' on planet earth?
Beacsue we still give the terms 'heaven' and 'hell' rrspect as places instead of cognitive constructs, they are not real get over that already ! Also, god would be jealous if love were involved because 'jealousy' is part of the human condition also . . . so either we are too rigid in our beliefs to want to open up and accept Oprah is onto something better than closed religion OR we don't mind staying stupid ! I am human not christian, not buddhist, not hindu, not baptist, not lutheran, not orthodox but HUMAN and the way this condition is going, I wish I would of chose . . . What is in the bible is not everything, the only way, and the absolute perfect semblance of man ! Ask yourself what is in your spirit when you remove everything associated with your ego and then tell me how the concept of god would fit in? If you really can, then guess what you are not just christian, you would also be wiccan, atheist, agnostic, gnostic, etc etc etc. How can something so vast not have many ways to reach it . . .? Use your intellect of spirituality and stop depending upon your ignorance of religion, for it may cost you a very beautiful satisfying life.
I cannot stand Oprah....she is so conceited and thinks she is better than anyone else.........I quit watching her about a year or two ago, as I got so I could not stand to look at the woman.......I feel she is a total hypocrite and refuse to watch her program or believe anything she says.....I burned what few "O" magazines I had...want nothing to do with her whatsoever.

And how is that different from a belief in some "god" that you cant see or talk to but you must blindly believe is there.
