Thank You Gather and my Gather Friends

Thank you Gather Friends for believing in my innocence of not doing anything wrong when my article called life was flagged. I contacted the Gather guides and the Flag was removed. Thank you Gather for that!

I appreciated all your comments of support! The flying nun did not do a strip tease and my reputation has been perserved.

I don't know all the rules at Gather. I do write in a venue that I think gives the reader motive to comment and disagree if they do, but not flag the content.

I am sorry others get flagged and I think Gather needs to change the system when it comes to flagging as it can be used to harass. I think there should be a change in the rating system to:

Excellent, Terrific, Very Good, Good, I agree with this article, I didn't agree with this at all, and Was there an article here..I missed it? If you get 30 Excellents and on1 Was there an article here, it is obvious your article deserved merit and recogniton. Only group low raters would hurt you and it seems to be a loner issue.

What do you think or what suggestions do you want to make to Gather, since I hope Gather will read this?

I'd like to be able to search in my people and groups in alphabetical order or have the alphabet handy and we hit the letter the name starts with and then it will narrow our search instead of scrolling thru all of our pages to find someone.
If there is a way to do that and I missed it then scratch this.

Danielle, I totally agree with you on that one... I would love to search by alphabetical order for groups and friends!

I like Danielle's idea. Curious about the flagging - seems sort of a guilty till proven innocent system rather than the other way round. Maybe flags requests should be sent to gather for processing rather than immediately applied? And flag requests from repeat mal-flaggers could be dumped to the bottom of the queue.

You can. All you have to do is go to people, then find people and then you must know the full name of person or their gather name to do the search which will take you to whoever you are seeking. Voila

I owuld like to "group my groups". Put all photo groups together so I can post to them all with one click, same with articles and so on down the line.

I agree Heather. A suggestion box could be very helpful and I really think that if an article is flagged we have the right to know the exact reasons for it, not just a vague one syllable and I absolutely agree with Sheila.

I think someone has to much time on their hands to go around flagging all the time. Hang in there you do nice work : )
I think the above commentors have some good ideas and I agree with their suggestions. I'm glad your article was replaced. Be assured that when someone flags an article and their reasoning is unfounded, gather management knows about it.
My only suggestion would be that they eventually advise the person who is doing the flagging incorrectly to stop of suffer some consequences themselves.
