The sun streams in through the thick shades of the room
She did not want to lie more in the shadows of the gloom
Her big heart was broken and she thought she had had enough
Little did she know how her day was just starting to get tough.
She went off to the kitchen anxious to get her morning cup
As she looked around her place; she was missing some stuff
He had crept in during the night to take away "what's mine"
He didn't have the courage to see her or even say one line
She kinda saw it coming as she knew he couldn't last
Without his shoes, cell phone, and his company parking pass
She shook her head as she began to write on paper
I'll change the locks, get a dog and soon I'll feel much safer.
He forgot the one thing that mattered to her the most
She still had faith in the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
Life would go on for her after the sadness in her heart
Would end when she realized they were better off apart.
Critique welcome! Not a true story, at least for me. A work of fiction!

Seriously, we finish each others sentences, I would never leave him and he would never leave me. We just won't give up on each other and that is love!
And you too my friend, Have a great day!!
Keep writing! You have """"The Gift"""
