Our youngest daughter wanted a puppy for Christmas one year about twenty years ago. We finally agreed to let her have a puppy and we began the task of searching for the perfect puppy. We looked in the newspapers and listened to the radio searching for this little puppy. We called several breeders and finally found a lady who had four little pomeranian puppies for sale. We went to her home and these four little balls of fur came bounding out of their kennal. We all just fell in love with all four of them. We finally let our daughter pick out the one of her choice and this tiny little creature not as big as a small child's fist went home with us. She looked like a small fuzzy ball!
Our daughters went to college and our little Prissy stayed with us. Of course she still belonged to our youngest daughter but I could not stand the thought of both my little girls being gone and then our little Prissy going away also. I guess you could say she helped me get thru empty nest syndrone.
Prissy bonded with me and she would sleep in the bed with me unitl her other Mommy came home from College. She would sleep in our bed and then go to be with her other Mommy. She was a mess! She loved everyone and never in her seventeen years did she bite or hurt anyone. She was the sweetest little ball of fur that only weighed a little less than five pounds.
I held her in my arms the night she passed away and I cried until I could not cry any more. I kissed her and told her over and over that I loved her. She is in a special place in my flower garden with an angel that watches over her. I still miss her today as much as I did the day she died. She will always have a special place in my heart and I will see her again one day.
