This is a funny true story from the pages of my life:
Thirteen years ago when my youngest daughter, Jordan was 3 months old my husband had chest pain that was so bad I had to get a ride to meet him part way to where he worked so I could drive him home. Once we were home he delayed going to the ER making several attempts to get in contact with our family doctor. He finally agreed to let me drive him over and he walked in the hospital very pale looking like he was having a major heart attack. At first they wanted to put in a pace maker, I was shocked, he was only 40 years old. Then after more discussion they decided to give him a clot busting drug and I quickly signed the paperwork. It was a new proceedure and cost $1,000 at the time and they weren't sure the insurance we had would cover it. For several weeks we weren't sure if our lives were going to change forever. My husband needed to go for tests. Like the nurses said when he was being discharged, he walked in looking like he was having a massive heart attack and walked out looking like a miracle.
While he was there, I visited several times with our baby girl. I was lucky when he was in intensive care that they allowed me to do this. I think they realized what good medicine it was for him to see her and I always dressed her up in a different cute outfit so my husband would swell with fatherly pride when he heard the oohs and aahs from the nurses. When he was moved to the step down unit, we placed the baby in his lap in the wheelchair. When we went past the maternity ward he got a lot of strange looks.
When he was finally released and I went to pick him up, the nurse helped me carry his things and he was wheeled through the main lobby with our baby in his lap. I called out as we were approaching the main door, "It's a miracle, man gives birth!"

A very cute tail indeed! I just wonder how your husband took all those looks he must have had as a result of that outcry!
Thanks!
It made me realize to appreciate all I had and to pick and choose my battles.
