My Dog is the Best!

Our dog is a cuddle dog...and actually dog's tongues are pretty clean.

When you are healed you can make up for lost time.

He's no more germy than the average kid. Give 'em some luvin' why don't you. Just keep you wound dressed.

Janet. Dogs lick their butts and wenee's. They eat dead and rotted things, bugs...etc. The list goes on. Their mouths are hardly clean. Ask a vet. It's just an ol' wives tale that it's clean. lol

I would no more neglect my dog after surgery than anything. That is if I physically was unable to. Just wash your hands good afterwards.

Yes, they sure are!
Your doggy knows that you're not feeling well right now.
Animals sense these things. And, my hubby is living proof.
Our cat sweety, not known for her over affection, stayed by my hubby's bed side for months.
My hubby always joked and said, "What, am I dying?"
Well, it turns out he wasn't further from the truth.
He finally got himself to the doctor when he couldn't breathe.
And, lo and behold, if he hadn't went, he never would have got the blood test, and he never would have known his blood count was so low.
Our cat tried to tell him, she knew he was sick.
But, we didn't truly get it, until his doc told him to into the hospital.
And, now after he's now home and well..
We know the next time, she comes to lay beside him in bed, that he had better get himself to the doctor quick.

I love dogs. But, if you ask your doctor, you may find that the germs your dog carries have already been dealt with by your body. You probably already have the antibodies in place to battle any kind of germ he may have. We live with our dogs, their germs are our germs. Heal fast!

Janet's right. I get mosquito bites on my legs and my poodle gives me what I affectionately call "therapy" on those bites. He licks them until they quit itching and they rarely ever get all red and scabby. He's my little guy! So, when you say that you went and licked your wounds, I think it's where it came from. Isn't it odd that dog spelled backwards spells God? And the dog actually does have unconditional love. I don't think that's by accident.

I agree - dogs are awesome!

He'll understand soon enough, after your wounds heal, and you're able to pet him again.

Meanwhile, feeeeel the doggy love.....

No dog is better than my Wolfedhauser, She is right beside me all the time, even sleeps on the floor at my side of the bed. She knows I am hurting and tries her best to comfort me. The way she looks into my eyes as I pet her is something to see.

Every night after going to bed I hold my wife's hand for a while and pet the dog with the other until I am relaxed and ready for sleep. Wolfen will sence that it it time and lay down.
Before anyone asks yes I kiss my wife good night but not the dog.

Nothing beats the love and affection of a golden retriever. Don't feel guilty. He knows something is wrong and you can't pet him. He's just happy to love you and have you near.

Dogs mouths ARE NOT clean. Ask your vet. lol

Dogs are the best people. Did you know people's mouths are more germy than dogs?
I'd rather kiss a dog. Their unconditional love could teach people a lot.
