My sister-in-law as fifteen when she got pregnant. My husband's brother was the father of nineteen. The husband's family and her family made her life a living hell. My brother-in-law told me he'd divorce when their youngest was fourteen. He did.
She called me one night. She was crying and drunk as usual. Only my husband and I accepted and loved her.
She called me and asked me if I loved her in her drunken stupor. I told her of course. She went on about how mean everybody was to her. It got worse after the divorce. Nobody outside of my husband and I would speak to her. She started racing in Powder Puff Demolition Derby. She loved racing and drinking. After the divorce she was driving with a man, and hit a telephone pole spliting her in half.
The last time I spoke to her was the day she called me to ask if I loved her.
Point: People that would be mean to a pregnant teen are evil. This is in reference to Palin's daughter. I just want to wish her and her boyfriend God's speed, and I hate anyone that would do otherwise.
Special thanks to Obama for his comment, about family's and especially children are off limits.

I could not agree more. I sure hope she does not get the same attention and harassment that Britney Spears sister got, and I would not have expected anything else from Obama than the words he expressed.
I think evil is too strong but I agree LEAVE THE GIRL ALONE.
This is a non issue.
I think for the most part people are critisizing Palin not her daugher however this is a non issue.
Lets talk about issues.
people are just people not perfect or ugly
If you think education is expensive- just try ignorance instead!

I agree her daughter is not an issue in this election. The hypocrisy is blatant however. If it is girl X, in the context of Gloucester, 17 girls X, people think they have the right to talk about it. It should not be anybody's business.
They called them PRODUCT OF THE BASTARD FACTORY and claimed they had the right to talk about it because their tax dollars would support those kids. I suppose in this case they would say, "well, this family does not need our money to raise a baby, hence it's nobody's business." Bogus in my opinion, leave these families alone.
As far as kids being off limit. Tell that to John McCain who made a joke of Chelsea Clinton when she was a teenager. Facts are stubborn and memory pretty tenacious.

Sometimes I think their are more mean people in the world than nice.
Sad story about your sister in law. I think God smiles on women who carry their babies as they risk their lives to do it. People forget this. Years ago many woman died in childbirth....it was very common and sad...a new baby and no momma.
Guess people need to follow the "Love one another" more.
So sad.
This is not just political. This is terrible. I'd like the name of the talk show host Alan D. spoke of. I'd rip his or her head off.
I just cannot stand next to them on some social issues.
Well said Carol.
I might have been married when I had my kids but I'm a "single" mom now and I dare anyone to comment to me about being on my own with kids. I think anyone who even THINKS they're better as a parent than someone who's a single parent has no clue what being a REAL parent is about.
And KUDOS to you for being able to say YES you loved your sister-in-law, no matter WHAT!
I have to say, last night was the first night that I did like Obama. I heard the clip of him saying that kids are off limits and couldn't agree with him more.
Kids are rushing faster and faster into "adulthood" these days. It is scary to me. Their are things that I hear come easily out of 13 year old's mouths that I never even thought of at that age. I don't even want to think about what they are actually doing. I am glad that I don't have kids.
