Along the path of life, we must go into nature. My idea of a nature walk is a nursery where trees are in pots as God intended. So doing my outdoor safari in Oklahoma with my mind set on a climbing rosebush, I approached the nursery. An elderly woman gave me the tour of her roses and the best type of bush for me. Suddenly, she screamed and ran up a set of stairs.
"Snake" she screamed.
I froze where I stood asked calmly, "Where?"
"Wrapped around your legs."
Quite honestly what happened next, I cannot explain. I was airborne. I rose from the ground and joined the cowardly old woman on the stairs, as the poor creature slitherd into a near by fountain. A man showed up with a shovel and beat that poor old snake to death. I cried. The old woman explained that snakes come to nurseries to get the water during a drought. But why my legs? There were many other legs available.
