That's a painful question to me. I was with my father when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, and I asked the doctor on average how much time there was after diagnosis. He said, on average, a year. I guess I know what my father's answer was: to give his grandchildren many happy memories as he good before his health failed. I'm not sure I want to answer that, all things considering. Sorry for the serious answer here Mandi!:-)

Excellent question. I would continue to do just what I am doing now but would modify as my capabilities change. I find a pleasant balance with creativity, work, relationships, learning, commune with nature and with spirit. It has taken me many years to sort out and filter out the unimportant and keep the valuable.

spend every minute I could with my kids. Take them to places like disney land. Put some stuff together so they have something to remember me by. but honestly i wouldnt want to know

Seeing how I have no family and only one close friend along with not having much money, I'd probably just continue to live life as I am now. Depending on what was wrong with me and claiming my life, I may or may not continue making progress with my current situation.

I wouldn't want to leave my husband with a huge credit card bill, so I'd take out my IRA and travel with that money. He has a retirement plan and life insurance he can cash in if need be, so taking out what I have in the IRA wouldn't hurt him in the long run.

I'd go see some of the things I've always wanted. Yellowstone; Grand Canyon; and just travel around the country and see this beautiful country we live in.

Try to teach and love my kids as much as possible during that time period. I read an article once about a mother that did fun things with her small children for the year preceding her death and they never realized that she was teaching them things because they were having so much fun. That's what I would want.

I would try my best to finish all the quilts I've promised or started. I don't think I would waste my time cleaning house, that's for damm sure.If I had time, I would jot down a few hints for my grandchildren, but I'm sure they would not read them.
