I took a break from work this afternoon and set out with camera in hand to see what crossed my path. The office is in the heart of Quincy, Ma, a town with much history. I strolled over to the Thomas Crane Library, a building with quite a history. Here are a few shots from my walk.

I took many more photos of the details of the library but those will need to wait until I have time to research it about and really do justice to the subject.

Great shots. Old cities are a marvel to wonder.
I truly miss the wonderful buildings in Quincy. The horses above the man..love that. I like the black and white bench shot too.
I think I was supposed to be there with you and something must have gone awry with that. I like these all very much especially the tower that is trying to bite the air around it.
Tonia bless you for sharing these wonderful images. You have such an eye!
How are things at your place? How are the horses?
lovely, lovely photos! my faves? the curvy roof! and, the colorful flag. makes me happy! thanks!
Great pictures as usual, Tonia. I can see why that library building would be on people's list of favorites.
(I love that almost 3-D effect on that roof [#4].)
Great shots, Tonia! And I love that tower with the bricks of all different colors and sizes.
Great shots of a beautiful building; I'd like to see that in person. I like the contrasts you captured with the shots of the roof and the bench.
I've never been to that part of the country, so I really enjoyed seeing these photos. It looks beautiful.
I love the 4th one and the last one. Of course, they're all spectacular!
Thanks for the pictorial stroll. I'm now mentally sitting on the bench in the last photo and inhaling deeply.
I'm with Verie.
Beautiful photos. You have such a good eye!
Very nice cavalcade of architectural details.
mmm, excellent shots. the gargoyles and b&w bench really hit me...
Great photos! I love the last one of the park bench. It's very thought provoking!
Nice job, Tonia...but wouldn't expect anything less.
