Yes, those moments do try to slip by before we even see them. Glad you caught this one. I love Bull Thistles, and ours are up all over the place, and even starting to go to seed, which means... IT'S GOLDFINCH TIME!!!!!

Funny, I was trying to take pictures of a thistle just a few days ago. Wasn't having much success--perhaps I'm just not used to trying to take close-ups with my camera and need to learn how to do it.
