As I rode the escalator up and down in an airport recently, in an effort to find my way to a rental car, I looked up and became entranced.
I was so entranced (or sleep starved) that I rode the escalator up and down several times just to observe how these prisms changed with the changing light.
Surprisingly, they had quite a calming effect on everyone else riding the escalator too as they looked upward to see what I was photographing.
Near the end of my journey, a great meal at a fun party with this rainbow colored light show on the ceiling awaited me. There wasn't a pot of gold after all these rainbows, but there was plenty of contentment at the buffet and smiles on the dance floor.

You rock! I'm starting to see colors and fuzzy furry edges and...
Cheers,

Sherrie, thanks. When I travel, I've learned to keep my eyes wide open for many reasons (wink).
Thanks, Colonel!
Kat, Oh yeah. Perspective is (almost) everything, isn't it?
I'm suspicious though: having the munchies, riding escalators up and down, getting lost, admiring the bright colors and swirling patterns, feeling calm and groovy. . .
Sounds like you had a nice, um, trip.
Who woulda thunk?
Thanks, Sharon.
Thank you, Victoria.
Anything sparkly catches my eye and this would have also.
Joy, it was a fun thing to discover in the midst of the chaos of traveling.
Thanks, flit!
Thanks, Duckie. It was fun. A little unexpected stress reliever as I raced around.
(I didn't know I'd won anything and it was curious to suddenly have all these comments show up.)
if only we look up!
congratulations!
(Nancy, this was at the Phoenix Airport Rental Car satellite area).
