One plus for Gather, and some iris

So, I've been cruising around in cyberspace looking for a spot where I could take my photos. So far, I've found nothing that works quite as well as Gather for photo essays. Much to my chagrin, I am back here because these photos are calling out to be shared.

Some may remember that I received a shipment of iris rhizomes from my parents who live in Queens, NY. They were packaged with extraordinary care and planted here with much joy. Last year we had 3 blooms. This year we have a bumper crop.

I am still waiting for the word as to what this early bloomer is called.










So for now, I guess I will be popping in and scattering photos about. It is hard to leave this place, and the community that once was such a joy to both Deb and myself. I've bumped into many friends in various "other" places yet this seems to be where a number of them still occasionally congregate. For now, I suppose I will put myself in that category.
