A Thought For Memorial Day
We remember our fallen dead, as well we should
We morn over what they might have done
We morn for the holes they have left in our lives
An so we should
But in our remembering and our morning
Never forget even for a moment
That we, all of us, and this Land
Produced such men and women
Who willing gave up their lives
So we could morn and remember
