Here is another little flower that I found interesting at the nursery and just had to add to my garden this year. This is a trailing flowering plant that is great for baskets, containers and window boxes, but I decided to plant in in the ground to use as a ground cover.
The Blue Moon, Torenia fournieri hybrid is listed as Dantmoon Torenia which is an Annual. It likes part sun, grows 10 to 12". It likes moderate water and can be spaced 12 to 18" apart. I only bought one to see how it works out. If it does well I will buy more next year. I have one spot on the side of my garden that doesn't seem to do too well and a ground cover would be perfect since the area is in front of some azalea bushes which are green all summer and these Blue Moon flowers would add some col
or. I have a big pink rose bush behind the azaleas.

Just some different views.
The flowers are small and delicate.
The plant to the right is a Hens and Chicks. I planted three of these along the row.

Leigh, Deb and Heidi, thanks.
Wilma - thank you.
the more shade the better I hung them from under my trees in the baskets and they grew so well
I'm thinking it might work in a container on my patio.
Barb - the squirrels dig up my hens and chicks all the time.
I love hen and chicks. My grandmother used to have pots and planters full of them all over the place.
I have now also finally accepted this to my "Everything" group, sorry for any delays...
Felicia - thanks. Glad to see you back.
..
U wishing you laughter
