"(Our house) had a heart,
and a soul, and eyes to see us
with; and approvals and
solicitudes, and deep
sympathies; it was of us, and
we were in its confidence,
and lived in its grace and in
the peace of its benediction...
we could not enter it
unmoved." --Mark Twain
I'm here in the sunshine of the day, sitting outside amongst the purple grape hyacinths, reading Mark Twain. I am also painting a door. These two go hand and hand. Mark Twain (aka Samuel Langhorne Clemens) was a master storyteller. From his first published story, The Notorious Jumping Frog of Calaveras County) to many more novels, stories, and travel articles. He was brilliant in describing everyday life from fence painting to politics. Are you a Mark Twain fan? Which of his writings inspired you and which one do you like the best? Thank you. Salud.

I'm so glad that you're having a good time and doing very simple old fashioned things.
I remember Tom getting paid for the right to white wash a part of the fence. Hahaha.
