Mary Janice Davidson's Betsy Series

Since the Twilight series that my best friend insisted I read, I've been in love with vampire fiction. I read all of the Stephanie Meyer books, and then the House of Night Series as well. (The 5th book comes out in 2 days!!), and now I'm reading Mary Janice Davidson series.

The books are about a 30 year old woman named Betsy Taylor, newly turned vampire, and Vampire Queen for the next thousand years. She is a hilarious girl who loves shoes more than anything in the world. Davidson writes in a way that you would talk so it is such a fun easy read. I'm on the last book right now, Undead and Unpopular, and I'm so sad my time with Betsy is over!

Has anyone else heard of the "Undead and..." books? Or Mary Janice Davidson? What do you think?!

You are a little behind...The latest book is Undead and Unworthy. MaryJanice Davidson is one of my favorite authors and is as much fun to meet in person as her books are to read!!! Her website is :

and yes i am a guy that loves Paranormal romance... lol I admit it. I guess it would be better to say I like my stories with wit and not as descriptive as say a traditional romance book. I also love Sherrilyn Kenyon who does a fantastic series about a group called Dark hunters. Check her out if you get the chance

I haven't gotten into the vampire thing. In fact, as a young child I had nightmares about vampires all the time because my older sister would make me watch "Dark Shadows" with her.

I love vampire fiction, but I'm not a fan of MaryJanice Davidson. I read one of her short stories in an anthology, and it had a great beginning, but the story fell apart at the end. I like Charlaine Harris much better.

I'll have to get by the library and check a couple of these out. If they're better than the Twilight series, which I really didn't hate, btw, I'll probably like them.
