What Happened To Knowing When Someone Has Commented?

  I used to know when someoneone has commented on a post, now i have to go back and look. It takes more time. I want the "old way back'. How about you?

I still get mine in my Yahoo email. Whenever someone comments, i get it. What's the old way?

I turned off my notifications a long time ago, mostly because of the mass emails I used to get. I hadn't thought about turning them back on.

I don't get emails for comments. I turned that off. I was getting too many. I just Gather by the seat of my pants.

I get my notices that is how I know I'm 509 behind this morning.I don't like the group emails I get but I delet it before I look at the other.

As mine are turned on, yes I get e-mails for comments... though sometimes, I think, not all of them come trough. I'm pretty sure I get most of them though.
I'm with juley g ~ I couldn't keep up. I just check to see who has commented on my posts, pictures and videos, especially my videos.

I turned mine back on, the other day, I now I have a couple hundred emails alerting me. Guess I 'll have to turn it back off

Go to your "my gather" page, and in the box where your points are etc., click on "my account." Then click on "email preferences"... that should take you to a page where you can turn "on" and "off" email settings for anything you want.

Sometimes email preference settings will change without notice during a site update (or even at other times). It is always a good idea to verify your settings periodically.

Diane, it was probably a gather glitch during the recent maintenance update. I get e-mails, but I'm gonna try without and see how that works.
I think e-mails are better, because otherwise you operate in a vaccuum or maybe it's just what I'm used to.
