Online Menus with Prices

It's sometimes frustrating for me to check out a new restaurant's menu online, because they almost always don't display the prices, and I can't budget how much I am going to spend.

So when a restaurant does disclose their menu prices online, it's such a refreshing experience.

Just my random thoughts for the day.

I think some restaurants do not do this because their prices vary by region of the country. For example, something at an Applebee's in South Bend, Indiana may cost different than an Applebee's in San Diego, California.

I like to see prices, too, but if it's a chain, they usually have different pricing depending on the location. Sigh.

That's why I generally don't order online, unless it's pizza which I already pretty much know the price of.

these days most retuarants do give prices online if you can find thier menu that is!

I can totally relate.I often say the same thing.I like the places that break it down by restraunt location and have there own menu information so you can see the prices by location.

If a restaurant does not list their prices, then they are generally TOO expensive for me. If they don't list the prices when you are there in person, then I know I need to leave.

yes typically when prices are hidden it is because they actually want you to eat there and know that if you see the prices first you might lose your appetite.

My husband and I made the mistake of ordering from a restaurant online that didn't display the prices and ended up a bigger bill than we bargained for. On top of that, the site didn't allow us to download a copy of the menu, but instead kept bringing us back to the page to sign up for some darn newsletter of upcoming events at the restaurant. It is great when a restaurant does post its prices as well as a full menu as opposed to just certain dishes.
