STANDING ON THE EDGE OF FOREVER

 I stand here on the edge of forever,

Seeking the answers to my dreams.

Searching out time as it goes by,

Like the ripples in a stream.

Standing on the edge of forever,

With nothing better to do.

I listen to the sound of silence,

As I wait here just for you.

Standing on the edge of forever,

And looking out into space.

I watch the stars and planets

And feel so much out of place.

Standing on the edge of forever,

I keep the secrets of my heart.

I wait so patiently hoping,

Someday we will never again part.

Standing on the edge of forever,

Riding the tides of life

Noting the good and the sad times;

Times of comfort, times of strife.

Standing on the edge of forever,

Tasting the breath of the wind.

Living life to its fullest degree

Living as if there were no end.

Standing on the edge of forever,

Dark sunlight warming my face.

Exploring the shadows of mystery;

The solution there to embrace.

Standing on the edge of forever,

Touching the earth's own soul.

Feeling the wealth of nature

Its paths I do joyously stroll.

Standing on the edge of forever,

Touching your love with my hand.

Caressing you heart, hearing your mind

Forever on the edge will I stand.
