OK, click on 'Articles' and there are some nasty images that come up in thumbnails.......I don't want to see this when I click on 'Images'! Isn't there a moderator of some sort that prevents this? jeez.....

Yes, there is ...US!
Mature content containing nudity is allowed on Gather, as long as the images are not overtly sexual or pornographic in nature. If you see images that violate this policy, then we are encouraged to report them as inappropriate.
You can also choose to not see any content of a sexual nature by turning on that portion of your Guarded Viewing filter.
I have reported the images published today, however they are still appearing in image listings. Once content is reported it should no longer be visible to the entire community. Evidently this is not working as intended, or Gather has modified the rules governing reported content.
