I started rehearsals a few weeks ago for my local community theater production of Carnival and I was talking with a fellow cast member and she informed me that there were several openings at Kindercare(a local childcare facility which as locations all over the United States) where she works. She is not the director but I think she is close to it because she handles the applications and does the initial interview. I went in yesterday to fill out the application and after I was done she informed me that after my references were called than she would call me to set up an initial interview. I was expecting to not be called back until the end of the week but she called me this morning and my interview with her will be on Friday at 11:00 in the morning. After this initial interview, Jen, will report back to the center director and if all is well, then a time will be set up for me to come in and to do an activity with a group of children(kinda like a mini student teaching) and then I am not sure what happens after that. As for the initial interview, I did some googling and I found out that the initial interview is very brief about 15-30 minutes. So what questions do you think that they will ask? Any help along with thoughts and prayers will be much appreciated.

Advice: Just be yourself. That way if they like you, they'll be liking you and they will be pleasant people to work with.
Amanda and Joy. From what I have researched about Kindercare, it seems like an amazing company to work for and they also offer good benefits. The people that I briefly met yesterday were very kind and the children looked very happy as they came and left the facility.
Best of Luck

This job will be a great opportunity for me. They are a very well known company, the parents also seem very happy when they pick up and drop off their children. They also offer tuition reimbursement should I want to further my education. It is also about 8 minutes from my house which is an extra plus because I will have to rely on the transportation of others because I do not have a car at the moment.
This is actually one job that I really, really want. There is also room for growth within the company so you are not stuck in the same position for years.
