Articles or Images?

I've been practically living on Gather over the past few days and I've noticed that when I'm in a commenting-spree, I tend to go after the images, especially if I'm looking at the content of a new connection.

I don't know what it is but I just find it easier to comment on images. Or perhaps it's just that i can comment on more images than articles, as I have to spend time reading through the articles.

In either case, the comments that I leave usually aren't one or two words and I try to make my comments as meaningful as possible. 

So do you have a preference when you're working on a comment spree? Do you prefer to comment on articles, images, videos, or does it really not matter so much to you what you're commenting on so long as you're commenting?

I tend to go toward the articles a little more, but I do enjoy both depending on my mood....

Case in point: I just asked people for some help in trying to reach the cash option this month. A number of my Gather buddies have started responding and the vast majority of them are leaving comments on my images. So I guess it's not just me! :)

I like both. It is great to read other peoples thoughts. It gives me pause and allows me to reflect. Images allow me to look through someone elses eyes. I love that about photography.
I do images when I am comment blitzing
its easier to look at an image quickly & comment, than an article that requires me to stop, slow down & read it - especially if it has any length to it
So I comment on tons of images & videos & my points add up VERY quickly. Many times (I hate to say it) I don't even watch the video....just rate & comment something.

LOL. .. comment spree. .. I love it. Oh, I do a little of both, to keep some variety. I won't comment on pics I find uninteresting, but I never do generic comments. . .I find them almost insulting.

If I am going for points/earnings, I go for the images, but that gets old really quickly. I enjoy the site a lot more when I take it slow and read, read, read.

I like articles and pictures. My favorites are photo essays. Videos - not me - I have dial up.

Being on dial up it's easier for image comment spree for me. Unless it's an article that does not have alot of comments.
I cannot watch the videos. But I will go in and rate them if someone asks me to.

I go for images too if I'm really commenting up a storm, but I like to read articles.

Articles make me comment, but those are generally comments that require a lot of thought. Images make me vote more than comment, but it is normally impressions of the image and are relatively shorter and easier to write.

I usually hit their videos first. Rough to do, since lately I've been stalking the video tab. So I usually do them as people post them which is relatively slow.

I enjoy both. So many of the articles fascinate me. The creativity never ends on Gather, whether it's articles or images.

I comment on most anything that interests me, whether it be photos or articles. By the way Peter, thanks so much for your encouragement to stay on here in gather.com. It helped me make a good decision. While we're on the subject, go check out my following article_ "I Have Decided To Stay."

When I am behind I find images are easiest to go through. Although I do both articles and images but I don't view too many of videos.

it depends on my mood! some days i enjoy reading the articles and others i just want to look at the pictures! depends on how lazy im feeling that day! lol i love it all really!

If it's content of my connections, both. If I am just generally scanning gather to comment, then images. I never do video at all no matter who it's posted by.

I tend to read through the articles. They tell a story about the individual. Then I review their photos. I'm not crazy about the videos. If I'm having a late night after a long day I'll glance at the photos before reading the articles.

Either way, I'm here for good content, good friends, refining skills and gaining knowledge.

i head for the pictures when I don't have a lot of time to browse .... the pictures I am interested in just jump out at me!!

I just read or view what interests me.
The last few days I've spent a while first thing each morning commenting on images. I can view and comment very quickly on images, as opposed to articles, which require some time and thought. Then, after I've left 100 or so comments, I can try to find articles I want to read and take my time with those for the rest of the day (between trying to get things done in my "actual" life, that is). I think this is going to be the strategy that gets me to the cash option.

I don't seem to be able to do anything quickly which may explain why I am perpetually 3 to 4 days behind! Though I have to admit to being like you if I am dealing with a new connect. Until I get to know them I will gravitate towards images first. Of course if something grabs my attention in the articles I will go to it first, but if is mostly games or recipes I don't read at all unless I know them fairly well, then I will play with the best of them, but mostly is not my thing. Once we are regulars at each others pages and I feel I know them well I go to whatever it is that they have new.
