Read Any Good Books Lately?

For crime stories I really like Patricia Cornwell. She just came out with an excellent book that I just read, The Book of the Dead, it is fiction though. I don't know about anything for your brother..sorry.

Any of the classics are always good (To Kill A Mockingbird, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Rebecca, Les Miserables, Pride & Prejudice, etc.).

great question. kathy reichs books are pretty good who dunit types. cross bones was pretty interesting. hope your able to find what your looking for.

To Kill a Mockingbird and a Tree Grows in Brooklyn are two of my all time favorite books.

The Innocent Man by John Grisham. It's his first non-fiction book. I haven't read it yet but it's on my list. Right now I'm reading his Playing for Pizza.

My ex-husband's cousin was once written up in True Crime magazine. We're democrats. Other than that, I can't help you.

I'm democrat. I come from a family of democrats. I don't know what went wrong with my brother.

If they are having debt problems, "30 days to Taming your finances" is a good book, it's based on biblical principles.

Not along thoses lines. I just finished a book by Tom Clancy and started a Louis L'Amour one.

I wish I could think of some good books in the catagories you mentioned. I did read Greg Bear's book a while back but for the life of me I can't remember if it is a crime story.

I'll check it out and if I find anything return.

If you haven't stopped to look at my photo that's an entry in the remodeling a room contest I would appreciate it if you would look at it and rate it. When rating it understand it's not necessarily a great photo but one that shows the room and why it needs a remodel.

If you like Patricia Cornwell, you might like to try Tess Garrettson. She has the same type of story, but her books are an easier read. I would also recommend some books by Dee Henderson. She has a couple of series out there. Typically each book relates to one main character and what happens in their chosen profession. For example: a US Marshall, the FBI, a doctor, a fireman, and a Navy Seal. You get the idea.

My husband has talked me into getting 4 $25 gift cards instead of me getting 2 $50 for just us. I rarely have time to read. There are countless good writers on Gather and I very much enjoy so many different types of stories and poems.

I'm really enjoying the Year of Pleasures by Elizabeth Berg.

If your Dad reads true crime (as do I) my favorite book in that Genre is called "The Stranger Beside Me" by Anne Rule. It's the story of Ted Bundy and his crimes told by my favorite writer who actually worked with Bundy in the past before he was discovered to be a serial killer.

True crime? I love Ann Rule. She has many books to choose from from One crime books to several smaller ones in one book.

I believe Ann Rule has written a book lately about Gary Ridgeway, the Green River Killer in Seattle. Just looking at the book creeped me out! A book for Republicans? How old is this person? Maybe could relate to WWII or the Korean War?
