A Gather SLow Down??

It seems to me that Gather is a lot slower these days as far as the number of images and articles. Maybe, I am missing something, but from time to time I log in during the day and it doesn't seem like much is going on. Am I wrong or has Gather slowed down for the time being? I miss having so much to choose from, but can certainly understand that this time of year people have lot to do. I was just wondering.

It's Summer. People are outside or on vacation. The "easier" promotions are over. Just break time for some. Theyll be back. Just stick around.

I'm not sure if this is related but I also have noticed they are awarding a lot fewer points these days. It seems as if many more comments have to be made and articles posted in order to see any results.

I figures that with Summer, vacations, etc, people are just on the computer less. I've been reading some of the older articles related to my interests that were posted before I joined.
