I was picking up earlier and found my 2-year-old's shoes on the couch. She was nearby, so I handed her the shoes and told her to put her shoes by the door. We have a mat next to the door where we put shoes. However, she heard "by the door" and took it quite literally:
She put her shoes right in FRONT of the door! I love her, she is so darn cute!
