That is just my luck

I have been so excited since my schedule has changed to 4 10 hour days I now get Fridays off, so when I found out my son was having his Easter party this Friday and they needed a room mother to come in and hide Easter eggs I didn't hesitate I volunteered, well it is turning out to be a very busy week at work and my boss just asked me if I can work a full day tomorrow. I was so excited about  the oppurtunity to work a full day and it would all be paid as overtime, but I had a commitment to my son & his classroom. I explained it to my boss and he said "well we really need you so what can we do to work around it?" so I will be in the office at 4:30am and work until 12:30pm then that will leave me ample time to get to my sons school and enjoy the party, then me & my son will come back to my office by about 2:30pm and work until 4:30pm or so. From work we will have to head straight over to the baseball field to make it to his game.

This also means I have to stay up late tonight and fill the Easter eggs make the goodies for his class which I had originally planned on doing tomorrow morning with the help of my 2 little ones.

I am glad my boss is understanding of how important my family is and is willing to let me have a flexible schedule, and I have made it clear to him I am a mother first. But it is just my bum luck that I plan to have a day with my kids and I have to once again juggle finances and family. ~ SIGH
