"What do you want for Mother's Day?"
My husband asked me the other day what I want for Mother's Day and I couldn't come up with any ideas. In years past, I've always had something in mind. But this year, I can't seem to come up with anything that I want. I know I don't have everything I'll ever want, so it's not that. It's just that I've been too busy taking care of our family that I haven't had a moment to stop and think about what I want. I'm always cooking, cleaning, organizing, planning, playing with my son, teaching, learning, etc. There isn't much time for rest, relaxation, and reflection about gifts.
So, what did you ask for from your loved ones for Mother's Day? What are you getting your mother or wife for Mother's Day?

Maybe you could suggest that a day off every month, for you to take a day just for you and he takes the home duties? That way Mothers Day lasts all year long.
I did find my mother two hand made, decorative votive candle holders from a specialty gift shop that I think she'll like. They're artsy, cool and very unique.
Why not ask for a gift card. Then you can apply it to something you need down the road.
I told my son and husb what i really want is help cleaning and putting all the winter clothes away, and then help getting the outside ready for summer living.
But my nine yr ols son was watching a commerical with me. It was a jewelry commerical. He made the comment that the family should take me to that place and let me pick something out.
It brought tears to my eyes as thoughtful as he was being.
