Ask any mom and they'll tell you that their world is a happier place now that they have children. But being a mom can also put a strain on your mood. Here are some tips for making sure those grumpy times are shorter than the happy times:
1.Admit when you're stressed. Asking for help does not make you a "bad mom".
2.Get enough sleep. Sneaking in an extra hour of sleep each day will do wonders for your mood. Take a nap when your child does, or grab a cat nap while your husband does Daddy duty.
3.Reconsider your priorities. Spend more time doing what you enjoy. Spend less time cleaning and more time coloring with your kids.
4.Savor the moment. Your child will be young for such a small time. Appreciate how wonderful they are = those chubby cheeks, the endearing things they say.
5.Reconnect with your spouse. Having children often puts a strain on your marriage. Take 15 minutes a day just for the two of you.
