Gather has had problems in the past with certain email providers labeling Gather notifications as SPAM (can you imagine?), and in those cases the email provider will, for a period of time, delay or block the delivery of our notifications. It may be best to work with me privately on this. You should try changing your primary email address if you have another address you can switch to, or if you can get another address. That would tell us if your original email provider is to blame.
Another thing to consider is - Have you stopped receiving ALL notifications from Gather? If you are just missing out on a certain TYPE of notification, then this likely is NOT due to your email service. But if you have stopped receiving any, then that's a good indication that something is amiss with your email service provider.

My email notifications slowed to a stop around 4:00pm EDT today. As of 6:15pm, they are still MIA. This has only happened in the past when the problem resided with Gather. A few other members have also noted this interruption. :-(
Hopefully they will turn the tap on again soon!
