What Is Happening Today On Gather - Wednesday, March 12,2008

 I am glad you stopped by today. Come on in and I will make you a nice hot mug of homemade Hot Chocolate and a piece of cake.  We can just sit and chat a bit.  The weather has been nice here today. We could finally get out of the house with just a jacket on. Although it is cooling down rapidly now.   How is your weather? Has Spring made known its presence yet?  

I have learned so very much since I joined Gather. I have made many friends and learned about places that I would never get to visit in the real world. One person who has taught me something is Marianne. She is into geocaching in a big way. Now, I must admit, I had never even heard of geocaching until Marianne began writing articles about it. She has just published an article titled " Geocaching:  Basics For The Beginner" It is a very interesting article.

I know you love to write. I have read your articles and they are fantastic! Have you ever thought of publishing your work?  Gather has a unique opportunity for you. I was just looking over the submissions to the "My Little Conductor" contest. 

 The children who have been entered are so cute. Children seem to have a natural curiosity when it comes to trains. I remember when my Granddaughter was younger, she was scared to death of them but now she loves them. Amtrak is sponsoring a  contest for your little conductor. There is still time to submit your child's photo.  Aren't these two just totally adorable?

Remember, you could win a copy of the book "The Big Book Of Trains" by DK Publishing, for your child.  Currently, your chances of winning  is very good. There will be 10 books given away. So grab your camera, grab your child, with their hat on of course and submit those photos.  Your child will love this book.  You will find all the information here.  Extended deadline is Thursday, March 13th.
