What Is Happening Today On Gather - Friday, March 7,2008

 I hope each of you had a wonderful Thursday. Thankfully it is Friday and the weekend begins.

1.  Were you interested in the Amtrak contest but did not have enough time to get your photos in? Well, Good News for you! The deadline has been extended. So grab your kids, get that conductor hat and snap that photo.  Your photos MUST be in by Thursday March 13th to be eligible to win your free copy of "The Big Book Of Trains."

2.  Gather has introduced a new group The Gather Help Desk.  This official Gather Help Desk is where you will find information and updates from Gather's Member Support team. You can post questions or concerns about Gather as well as help other Gather members.  The gather Help Desk will publish an article daily.  Carolyn R. 3.  I hope you were able to attend all the live chats that were going on today. If you did not, you can still read the transcripts.

4.  I hope you have been going to the First Tracks Group each day to vote for your favorite Musician. The voting is still going on and you can vote once each day. Kristen Capodilupo Team Gather published an article with updates on the vote count. It looks very close. So your vote may be the one that determines the winner.

5.  Have you had a chance to check out the Fiction Readers group? This group is our own Gather Book-club. You can request books to read and review for the club. It is so much fun. Check it out, I think you will enjoy it.

6. You've shown them your "Downsizing" photos in your home. You have even taken the Ultimate Tea Diet challenge. You can find out more at the Collins Nonfiction group.

Dale Coparanis  has published a wonderful article that is a  testimony to all the brave men and women who are or have ever served in the armed forces.  The title of his article is Kuwait Duty - 30 Day Observations.  Wonderful article.  This is a must read for anyone who lives  in the United States.

8. Can you believe that the  dreaded tax time has arrived already?  It will be April 15th before you know it.  Have you checked out the group Income Tax Tips? This group is owned by Bob B.  Bob is one those multi-talented men that wears many hats. He performs income tax accounting, sells real estate and is a substitute teach all grade levels.  He offers tax tips for free to you, the Gather members.
