Hi Everyone!
Things will be a little funky this week in the TODAY group. All members of Team Gather are working overtime and around the clock this week to bring you a better, more intuitive, more engaging Gather. That’s the good news. The bad news is I won’t have any time to publish my regular TODAY column. Instead I’m providing a list and links to some of the coolest, most exclusive stuff happening all week on Gather. Feel free to add to my list in the comment thread below. I’ll be popping in and out as much as I can to fill you in on new stuff that’s developing.

You're absolutely right, Gather debuted video on the site last Friday, but, just like the real world... things tend to be a little quite around here on beautiful summer weekends, So, I thought it was worth a little shout out for folks who might have missed the video premiere. Hope everyone is else is enjoying uploading and viewing videos as much as I am! I think the addition of video really brings some extra spark to Gather!
As far as what the "Gather Gurus" are working on this week... we're still in discussion and planning mode right now... but I know the future is incredibly bright and exciting... stay tuned!

I checked in on the history group, and it appears it's in a holding pattern. But thanks to you, it's back on the radar. Hopefully I'll have more concrete answers for you next week.
And Bridget, I checked in on the gift cards. Members Services tells me that all the winners who e-mailed us their name and address should have their gift cards by the end of the week. They were actually dropped in the mail early today.
If anyone reading this won a gift card in the recent Favorite Family Photo contest and HASN'T e-mailed Gather member services with your name and mailing address... it's not too late to cash in on your prize! Just email us with the date you won and what exactly you won for and your mailing address. Send that info to support@gather.com.

when and where are the details,plus define essay....are you referring to photo essay the regular way, or some kind of video only essay?.....and is a still shots slideshow considered a video?.....those of us without video cams need to know....thanks!

The saddest part of all of this is the response she got from tech support. We understand glitches, but not non-responsiveness.

Why does gather not respond? Adress the concerns? Are they afraid? Undermanned? We all hope that our united front to reinstate ANN B as well as other Gather members will help raise awareness to this massive problem.
