It's Your Day - Celebrate!!

At the end of February of this year, I created a group called It's Your Day! This group was created to showcase birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and Gather anniversaries. I also use it to showcase various holidays and religious observances that show up on the calendar. I only posted once asking people to sign up to the group, and we currently have 35 members. I would like more - many more!

The group is open to ALL members of Gather. You need only join, or post a comment to April's birthday and annviversary list that is featured in the group in order to be a part of the group. I update the list every so often.

The group is heavily moderated - that is, the ONLY content that is accepted to the group is content regarding a special day. It must be one of the observed days, or the content is NOT allowed. I send out emails to the group to let everyone know that a special day is coming up, or, in some cases, has passed, and you can choose to stop by another member's page and say hi or whatnot. There are no requirements to being a part of the group. I simply wanted a group to celebrate everyone's special day.

Here are a couple of recent posts I made regarding some holidays that are on April 2, 2009. These are just for your perusal: Florida Holiday and  World Autism Awareness Day.

I just updated the group space tonight. I think everyone already in the group and people new to the group will be pleased. I added a YouTube video that goes nicely with our theme.
