I need to brag.

Sorry folks I need to brag about my daughter.  She is one smart cookie.   She received an excellent report card, class hero award and found out she is the top speller in her class.  She goes to the school spelling bee Monday to finish the inner school comp. part of it.  The winner will compete in the summer at a state wide level.  She has always been a very good student but cracks under pressure.  Her teacher said she had great poise in this last competition and thinks she can hold her own.  Win, lose or draw I am very proud of her for getting this far and trying!  Yeah Pie!

Yay!! That's wonderful about your daughter!! You have reason to be proud of her. My 10 yr old daughter has been doing real well in school too. As hard of a time as I have been having for a while (fortunately things are looking up) I am just so glad she seems to be able to rise above! I'm very proud of her too!

Being good at spelling is very important. Something she will use all her life. You cannot read or write well , if you lack the ability to spell.
